Ingredients (Makes 1 large cuppa)
1 cup (250 ml) Milk
25 gm. (1 oz.) Bitter chocolate (I used 50% cocoa content)
1 tbsp. sugar
¼ tsp. Vanilla Essence
Take a small pan, pour in milk, put in the chocolate pieces, sugar and vanilla and heat on a medium flame
Keep stirring occasionally so that the chocolate does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
One melted stir well with a whisk, pour into your mug/cup and slurp away!
Ingredients (Makes 1 loaf in a 9x5 inch loaf tin)
1 ¾ Cup (8.5 oz.) Flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Baking soda
¾ cup Brown sugar
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Cinnamon powder
4 ripe bananas (weight 500 gm. With skin)
100 gm. Butter (Melted)
½ tsp. Vanilla Essence
Measure out all the powders ie. Flour, baking powder and soda, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl and mix together with a spatula or wooden spoon
In another bowl tip in mashed bananas, eggs, melted butter and vanilla and whisk them lightly
Now add the all the liquids in the powders bowl, mix, but be careful not to over mix
Pour the contents in a buttered pan and bake in a pre-heated oven 180C (350 F) for about 50 minutes. Check the doneness by inserting a skewer, and if it comes out clean, you’re ready to savour it
Best eaten fresh and warm. However it will keep refrigerated in plastic cling for 3-4 days.
