Heat the oil in a small frying pan and fry the chopped onions for a minute or two until translucent, then add the drained figs and mix well. Add water a tablespoon at a time and keep stirring until the water finishes and figs become mushy.
Next add the walnuts and seasoning, mix well and take off heat
This can be served warm or cold.
You can make this relish in advance and store in an airtight in the refrigerator for about 5-6 days.
Nutella Quick Bake
Ingredients (Serves two)
100 gm. Banana (Usually 1 medium sized)
3 tbsp. Nutella
1 tbsp. Cocoa
3 tbsp. Flour
2 tbsp. Oil (I used Canola)
½ tsp. Baking powder
Pinch of Salt
Take a small bowl, and mash the ripe banana with a fork, then add the Nutella, cocoa, flour, oil, baking powder and salt. Mix well again.
Tip the mixture into two ramekins or even mugs if you want and microwave on high heat for a minute. Depending on the wattage of your microwave oven, a minute of high heat will give you a molten consistency.
I jerked it for another 30 seconds and got a dense cake like texture
Let cool slightly and then eat – can be served with whipped cream or ice cream. Indulgence is limitless
