Is sexy, sexy? And Veggie Meals Episode 2
May 16, 2014

The blow-dried locks bouncing on your narrow shoulders, the mascara laden fluttering eyelashes, wide, red lipsticked smile and a body squeezing into the vital statistics is sexy, not! Well, lets put it that way that there are more attributes that set you apart from others than just outward appearance.
Confidence is the new sexy! It is beautiful, attractive and alluring. Self worth exuded positively will make more heads turn around than expensive designer drapes. After all, you need confidence to carry them gracefully also. If you are comfortable in your own skin (and PJs), chances are you will probably not follow fashion whether it is apparel, shoes, bags, skin or hair. Self-respect is sexy!
Throw in heavy doses of compassion and that is seductive. Eyes radiate emotions and if they flow with tenderness and empathy, you might have a following. It is the eye contact that you make with others when listening to them, talking to them or simply reading off during an “eye to eye” engagement. Tenderness is sexy!
Sense of humor is spunky! It has its own aura, a certain command, and a desirable atmosphere. Those shy smiles, or a wide grin, and a throaty laugh after you have said something has its own healing powers, for yourself and others. Humor is sexy!
Genuineness is stimulating. Whether it is religion, relationships, talent, or work – it is that commitment and passion that you pursue it with. Even genuinely praising others reflects more about you than the person you are complimenting. It exhibits self-belief and honesty on your part and makes the other persons’ day. Being honest is sexy!
I could possibly write a lot more on what I think is sexy – however, would like to limit myself on human attributes and show you an extremely sexy plated dish instead. Grilled Peaches and Halloumi – beyond doubt the most alluring dish I have made till date. It is natural, earthy, and seductively healthy. Grilled pieces of fragrant and sweet peaches lined up with charred halloumi, some green crunchy pistachios and mint leaves, peppered and paprika’ed with a final drizzle of maple syrup. What sets this dish apart is its sheer simplicity and a calm explosion of flavors in the mouth.
Below are excerpts of what some of my friends think places them differently than others…
One said “Nothing” very nonchalantly
While one quoted Dylan Thomas “I hold a beast, an angel and a madman in me”
Another one immediately replied “For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic, normal means lack of imagination, lack of creativity”
And yet another one took her time and reposed “ I have the ability to say a lot in very few words. I don’t feel the need to fill silence with the sound of my voice, which also makes me a great listener.”
Come to think of it, anything that sets you apart from others is sexy! No?
