Yes, so the disappearing act was rather long, and I owe it to my complete loss of focus and a brain bloc, which has prevented me from sharing anything worth your while. In the mean time you might have followed my ‘Coffee Chronicles’, a coffee laden journey filled with thoughts, emotions and sentiments.
And whilst having coffee recently I read an article of a charity named Dream Catcher and from therein my thought process is as follows...
A Dream Catcher is the product of a Native American belief that the darkness of the night is filled with both nightmares and pleasant dreams. The dream catcher when hung over or near your bed would swing freely catching the dreams as flow by. The pleasant dreams would permeate through the holes gently flowing to the individual through the soft feathers and on the other hand the nightmares would get entangled in the same holes and perish with the first light of the new day.
I reckon that some people who enter our lives (and sometimes depart too) are like dream catchers. As hooped, painful or twisted their own lives might be, they only have pleasantries to extend to you. Consciously or unconsciously they sift through all negativity for us, making sure only goodness, love and genuine care reaches us, gently, softly and comfortingly like flowing feathers. And sometimes they have the immense capacity to hold back their own and your nightmares collectively, ensuring that the invisible security blanket keeps you well covered both in the darkness of the night and the glaring light of the day. The flowing feathers of the dream catcher could be a single smile, an understanding glance, and a loving squeeze of the hand or a generous bear hug.
On a lighter and more dreamy note ice cream can easily pass as a dream catcher, extending us cool comforts any time of the day. An indulgence that is popular with both kids and adults, cherry ice cream might not be the usual troll but the soft lilac color of the soft scoops is enough to make anyone fall for the dream catcher!
A no-churn ice cream that requires minimal effort, this cherry ice cream is easy to put together and I further doused it in an espresso shot, which snugged the scoop in place until it was dug in, just like the dream catcher holds you invisibly, yet snuggly and tightly.
Signing out now, however, leaving you with a question – Do you have a dream catcher in your life ?
