De-cluttering is a word that I have always believed in. Thanks to Mr. A and his career moves, we have managed to regularly skim through loads of clothes, kitchenware, furniture and other non-essentials – emptying out rooms, cupboards, closets and hearts too. The latter being the most difficult and insurmountable!
Generally speaking clutter in the heart could range from buried pasts, toxic or broken relationships, unshed tears, gnawing guilt, goose bumped fears and unfair envy. Getting rid of such intangibles is often a task and a half, which requires a lot of insight, courage, wisdom and strength of character.
Moving on from the matters of the heart (which I could possibly write a book on) to a chaotic busy lifestyle, it often gets difficult to manage a decent food intake when we are juggling with maintaining sanity and day to day mayhems. My oldest school mate and now a successful fashion designer shares with us the importance of eating healthy meals and how it helps us maintain and increase mental strength, which after all is needed for a successful de-clutter.
And talking of de-cluttering, the following recipe is actually a swipe clean of your refrigerator and some pantry items. This vibrant sandwich can be made without the bread into a vibrant salad. The sunny yellows of the egg yolks, shades of mauve from the thinly sliced onions, little black dots of the olives, earthy greens of the rocket leaves and the red of the plump tomatoes speak volumes about the clean natural foods that can be put together with minimal effort and eaten with complete satiety and wholesomeness.
